In addition, we are interested evaluating new anti-inflammatory strategies to reduce vein wall scarring and improve thrombus resolution, and reduce atheroma inflammation. We are recruiting a bright and enthusiastic postdoctoral research fellow to join our laboratory. The candidate (MD/PhD, PhD, or MD) will ideally have experience in 1) basic vascular biology related to thrombosis, atherosclerosis, or other vascular disease; 2) intravital microscopy or vascular molecular imaging with relevant in vivo mouse surgical procedures; 3) excellent oral and written communication skills, and prior publication record. Experience in cell/molecular biology (cell culture, microscopy, protein and gene analysis, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, FACS analysis), and animal models of vascular disease is highly desirable. Support for this position is available via NIH grants HL, HL, and HL. Collaboration among the CVRC faculty and fellows, and investigators throughout the MGH, Harvard Medical School and MIT communities, help to create a stimulating and productive research environment.
