Description ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: A postdoctoral fellow position is available immediately to work on inflammatory bowel disease. The research projects aim to investigate novel mechanisms of gut inflammation and neuromuscular dysfunction in Crohn’s disease and mechanism of action of exclusive enteral nutrition. The postdoctoral fellow will conduct, report and present research in his/her field of study under the supervision of a faculty mentor. This is a full-time (40 hours) training position in a research program sponsored by a federal grant agency. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D., M.D. or Doctoral equivalent in any field. Scientific research experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: – Strong bench skills in modern cell and molecular biology and immunology, or alternatively electrophysiology study – Gut immunology and microbiology, or electrophysiology in neurons or muscle cells.
