Job Details Full-timeEstimated: $42,000 – $60,000 a year16 hours ago Benefits – Health insurance Qualifications – Doctoral degree Full Job Description – KQ Postdoctoral fellow position is immediately available to study the role of calcium signaling in cardiac and vascular remodeling. Experience in two or more of the following areas is preferred: rodent animal models; protein-protein interactions; patch-clamp electrophysiology; confocal microscopy/live-cell imaging. The duties for the position include culturing primary cardiomyocytes, conducting experiments related to a funded NIH R00 grant, reading and knowing the relevant literature, training new personnel in the laboratory, attending and presenting at scientific meetings, and writing drafts of manuscripts. Non-scientific duties include helping to keep the laboratory tidy, and assisting with ordering of supplies. The Postdoctoral Fellow will have the opportunity to design his/her own related experiments, develop new techniques, and develop new collaborations with other researchers.
