Core Values: Curiosity and Discovery, Integrity, Collaboration, Respect and Caring, Perseverance Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for the Education and Training department at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ). The Postdoctoral Fellow will conduct research on cell metabolism and its role in immune regulation. The position provides opportunities to study within multidisciplinary groups and to be involved in clinical/translational research collaborations. Postdoctoral Fellows are expected to establish an innovative, collaborative research program addressing important and fundamental questions of cancer biology. Interdisciplinary and translational approaches are encouraged. Qualified candidates must be in the process of completing training for Ph.D. and/or M.D. graduate degrees with a strong publication record and looking to move to the next stage of their training. Among the key duties of this position are the following: – Conducts multidisciplinary research in the area of of cell metabolism and its role in immune regulation. – Prepares written reports of the research experiments. – Prepares grant proposals based on the research conducted. – Gives oral presentations of the research. Minimum Education and Experience – Ph.D. and/or M.D. in a relevant science with a focus on immunology and immune regulation. – Candidates in all but degree (ABD) status will also be considered. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities – Effective oral and written communication skills. – Computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
