The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Southern California (USC) invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the field of theoretical and computational cosmology, broadly defined. We seek a highly motivated applicant who has obtained, or is about to obtain, a Ph.D. in physics, astrophysics, or a related field. Research experience at the intersection of fundamental theory and cosmological data analysis, a background in inference, forward modeling, cosmological simulations, and/or astroparticle physics is highly valued. The successful applicant will work in collaboration with Prof. Vera Gluscevic and will have opportunities to work with the Simons Observatory collaboration, to collaborate with scientists at Carnegie Observatories in Pasadena and with other groups at USC. The postdoctoral scholar will have access to computational resources via the Center for Advanced Research Computing at USC ( The duration of the postdoctoral appointment is up to three years, with renewable one-year terms, based on satisfactory performance.
