With the resources, reach, and expertise of a large pharmaceutical company, postdoctoral researchers will be positioned to excel in an institution committed to breakthrough innovation in research and discovery.What You’ll Be Doing:As a postdoctoral fellow in the Pharmacoepidemiology Department based in North Wales, PA, you will work with a highly collaborative team of pharmacoepidemiologists to design, assess the feasibility of, and conduct epidemiological activities in support of vaccines targeting respiratory diseases.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Take part in epidemiologic research projects and activities, including feasibility assessment, protocol preparation, study design, study logistics, data summary, and technical reports.Perform analyses to process and summarize epidemiological dataPrepare reports and make presentations to communicate epidemiological activity results to cross functional teams, internal committees, and external investigators.Maintain and enhance professional knowledge and skills. Present at professional scientific meetings and publish research findings.What You Need:Candidates must currently hold a PhD OR receive a PhD by fall of 2021. Degree should be in epidemiology or a related field. Experience in the successful direction of epidemiologic projects.Knowledge and experience in the application of epidemiologic approaches including statisticsFamiliar with software packages used to process epidemiologic dataCreative problem-solving ability and strong communication and organizational skillsIt’s Great If You Have:A background in Infectious Diseases (ID, respiratory in particular) and some experience in conducting ID and/or vaccine epidemiological studies and activitiesWe are a research-driven biopharmaceutical company.
