Casey Laizure, Pharm.D. and Robert B. Parker, Pharm.D. within the Department of Clinical Pharmacy & Translational Science in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to our NIH-funded studies on carboxylesterase drug metabolism, which include in vitro metabolic studies in human recombinant enzymes, animal studies in a carboxylesterase drug metabolism mouse model, and human pharmacokinetic studies. Highly motivated applicants with a strong background in LC-MS/MS, drug metabolism, and pharmacokinetics are encouraged to. Previous experience with assay development and validation is a requirement to be considered for this position. The research environment is excellent and includes availability of SCIEX 4500 and 5500 LC-MS/MS systems on the same floor as Dr. Laizure’s laboratory, and animal research facilities and a clinical research unit on the University of Tennessee Health Science Center campus. Qualifications Ph.D. in analytical chemistry or other related biomedical field, and a strong publication record. Experience with in vitro and animal models of drug metabolism is strongly preferred.
