Principal R&D Innovation and Commercialization Scientist – Meat Snacks.

Passionate and experienced Principal Innovation and Commercialization Scientist to lead the development of new, improved, and cost-reduced meat products while also leading project teams. We seek a data-driven, collaborative and creative problem solver.

* * You will be the technical project leader responsible for leading, coordinating and executing product development efforts for the Meat Snacks platform.
* * You will cross-functionally lead the creation of new products, guide the teams research, design experiments, analyze data, and engineer solutions creating new products against concepts, consumer work, pilot-scale trials, feasibility assessments, trials and commercialization.
* * You will contribute to the creation, maintenance, and review of integrated recipes for all items including specifications, materials, formulas, equipment, quality and process information for R&D, plant, co-packers and suppliers.
* * Champion ideas for technology improvements, cost savings, and cost savings.
* * Formulate products to achieve nutritional profile, ingredient statement, and product attributes.
* * Work with cross-functional teams on new ideas.
* * Work with teams including processing, marketing, finance, packaging and brand design, procurement, and manufacturing.
* * Be a coach and technical mentor/role model for more junior product developers, scientists and technicians.
* * Overall, we are looking for a leader who can inspire, ideate, mentor and foster good practices rooted in the scientific method.


* Degree (advanced preffered) in Food Science, Meat Science, Engineering or similar field.
* A technical expert in meat science.
* Experience in product development of meat products with a proven record of innovation and formulation.
* Passionate about creating new products that meet consumers needs.
* Proven track record of innovative research and/or development projects.
