Job Posting TitleProcess Technician (MPG) Job Description SummaryManufacturing process engineering techs are technical professionals who assist our Engineering Group in the development and improve business processes to increase efficiency and boosts profits of our organization in the manufacturing sector. These positions are responsible for providing the overall process design and suggested measures for improvement of manufacturing, thereby increasing productivity and improving manufacturing costs. Job Description – The manufacturing process engineering tech assists with marketing and product design team to formulate a manufacturing process ensuring flawless product launches – The techs work with equipment designers and manufacturing management to develop a cost effective and working production process for new product – Assists with detailed specifications and implements production plans – Conducts tests on systems for efficiency and accuracy and shares and adopts Best Practices from other Sintered plants – Assists with process design projects, making sure projects are completed on time – Assists in the design of new projects as well as involvement for improvement for existing jobs to increase Safety, Quality, and profitability for the company – Assists in the research and purchasing of new technologies, while working with engineers from other departments – Provides information to the Facilities and Environmental Supervisors for Environmental Health and Safety Equipment Review for purchase/refurbishment, installation, and final acceptance of new or existing based on Mfg work instructions – Assists with the review from beginning to completion – Assists Cross Functional EHSER Team throughout to completion – Other tasks as assigned Required Skills and Education – Associate Degree in Applied Science in Automated Manufacturing, Tool Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering (Bachelors Degree in Applied Science in the same preferred) or equivalent work experience in the Manufacturing Engineering or Process Engineering function. – Minimum two (2) years experience in working with CNC equipment preferred. Minimum two (2) years experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Tooling Setup – A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Word and/or Excel preferred – AIAG Measurement Systems Analysis. – AIAG Production Parts Approval Process. – AIAG Statistical Process Control.
