We are currently seeking a dynamic QA and Testing Advisor to join the Cigna team! The Advisor’s role is to test system configuration changes created to support functional and technical requirements of all applications that are within his/her area of responsibility. QA and Testing Advisor Responsibilities: – Assists in the preparation and conduct Quality Assurance (QA) testing of new or modified system configuration – Initiates or participates in the analysis and development of new or improved QA procedures, processes and/or tools including development of effective testing plans through consultation with business partners and IT technical staff – Participates in the development of and meets QA productivity and quality metrics – Training and peer consultation to ensure knowledge transfer – Develop configuration test cases, including defining success criteria – Create and run Oracle PL/SQL queries – Analyze data for patterns and anomalies – Use Microsoft Excel functions and formulas in order to compare and analyze data – Create/process claims to validate configuration – Navigate Facets user interface to visually validate configuration – Identify unintended implications based on current configuration and suggest appropriate configuration updates to meet business requirements – May instruct, direct, and check the work of other team members Required Qualifications: – Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or at least two years of experience in a systems quality environment, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Systems quality environment may include work experience in quality assurance related to IT, health insurance delivery, claims processing, enrollment processing, premium billing, provider contracts and/or benefits administration. – Broad knowledge and experience with testing and modeling tools, including test case generation – Oracle PL/SQL queries knowledge – Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel experience – Medicare Industry Claims and Enrollment knowledge and experience – Handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment – Excellent interpersonal communication skills – Adaptable and flexible to business demands Preferred Qualifications: – Facets 5.7 navigation and functionality experienc – Medicaid and/or MMP/DSNP claims and enrollment knowledge and experience – Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) governance requirements – ClaimsXten – Agile, in particular kanban This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
