Responsibilities A Patient Access Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for creating, formulating, and interpreting PAS Policies and Procedures as well as providing guidance across the entire health system . Perform audit rounding at all hospital and WMG locations with Registration/Front Office staff. A Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for analyzing data for Key Performance Index monitoring and reporting. Providing information and support to ensure compliance of Patient Access Services Policies and Procedures and regulatory requirements. Monitoring (PAS) and Front Office Registration staff performance to identify benchmarks and goals; investigate, provide root analysis when necessary, and create and implement general course correction as appropriate. Develop and implement strategies to facilitate continuous operational improvement across the health system impacting services in the inpatient, ambulatory, and physician practice setting for all aspects of PAS functions. Responsible for audits/analysis and outcome assessments for accuracy of patient data, both system-related and process-related for PAS and WMG departments and for operational areas impacting patient registration, billing ,and/or collections. The Patient Access Quality Assurance Analyst reviews appropriate reports and systems to monitor patient account errors and track trends for timely resolution. Is responsible for ongoing reports to Leadership as defined by each owning area. Works closely with WS Connect, Organizational Learning, IT, Operation Leadership, Payers, and Third Party vendor to ensure consistency across the health system. Administer access to Third Party Applications, as well as, troubleshoot and report on usage of third party applications to PAS and WMG leadership. The Patient Access Quality Assurance Analyst is actively involved in all EPIC go-lives and updates to include: assisting with conversions, software systems updates, the Help Desk as needed to provide feedback to users with update questions/issues, and on-site to provide support for all PAS/WMG areas. A PAS Quality Assurance Analyst must have the ability to travel to all Hospitals and WMG offices within the WellStar Health System. Qualifications Required Minimum Education: Bachelor Degree Required Required Minimum Experience 5 Years healthcare experience with proven leadership and working knowledge of PAS or PFS. Three to five years experience as a Patient Access Specialist or PAS Supervisor/Manager preferred. Required Minimum Skills Strong analytical and reporting skills, with proven ability to mentor employees. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites and EPIC Electronic Medical Record software. Possess the ability to provide meducation and speak to large audiences. Experience with current practices, regulations and techniques in Patient Access Services. Strong communication skills with ability to listen actively and respond to employees, physicians, patients and payors in a competent manner. Attend mandatory meetings with Executive leadership and provide job knowledge and feedback, as well as, being a representative for Patient Access Services. Must be professional with the ability to lead projects and meet deadlines. Must be able to work on a flexible schedule to include: Weekdays, Weeknights and Weekend days and nights based on requirements for the position. Strong descriptive writing skills to be able to communicate on an Executive and staff level.
