The Climate Impact Team at Fannie Mae was created to address the inspiring, but daunting, goal of leading the company-wide response to climate related risks, including ESG-related analytics. We need to accelerate our impact in this space as customers’, regulators’ and our employees’ expectations continue to rise and evolve with respect to growing climate related concerns. As a QA Engineer working with the Climate Impact Team you will wear many hats, work with cutting edge technology, and help to create a next-gen data science platform for understanding climate risk at Fannie Mae. You’ll be helping to build a cloud-native analytics platform leveraging diverse datasets, batch and realtime apis, and custom containerized applications and AWS managed services. As the primary QA team member, you’ll have the opportunity to make QA decisions on process, tooling and techniques. Job Description THEIMPACT YOU WILL MAKE The MF Technology/Climate Impact Quality Assurance role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities: Support the testing and release of compelling features using modern tools and technologies with a focus on building future-proof systems that perform at scale. Monitor and identify risks. Coordinate various quality reviews across groups. Develop and maintain an automated test suite for all production systems. Develop and implement a functional test plan for all production releases. Implement a workflow for continuous deployment in an agile environment. Develop quality test automation solutions for performance testing. Coordinate engineering and product teams to design moderately complex, automated test methodologies. Performs end-to-end automation testing. Review product scalability, reliability, consistency, and performance. Qualifications THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM Required Experiences: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent 4 or more years of directly related experience 4+ years experience testing production software applications across the stack 3+ years experience with the following technologies: Testrail or other test planning tools ALM tools Automated testing tools Desired Experiences: Proven track record of: Collaboration with engineering and product team members on execution of high complexity products and/or multiple products. Manual and automated testing for multi-tier applications (microservices, SPA frontends, etc.) Depth and breadth on QA tooling and strong POV on agile techniques for testing Deep understanding of APIs including REST and GraphQL. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related degree, or relevant experience. Experience working on a variety of software development projects and toolsets.
