Swing shift, M-F, 3:00 to 11:30 pm. Wage is DOE, up to $30.00. The primary purpose of the QA Technician is to perform that hands-on work necessary to help develop, characterize, & qualify new products for production. The QA Tech ensures that dispositions of rejected production encompass proper rework & effective corrective/preventive action when necessary. The position will additionally control internal documentation to ensure that processes are consistent, document records are managed, & traceability is maintained.

Essential functions:
New Product Development support (50%):
Measuring, analyzing & reporting on qualification lots using Minitab & PowerPoint.
Reviewing & approving data from first article inspections.
Correlate internal measurement procedures to customer procedures.
Performing Measurement System Analysis for all new metrology.
FAI image scanning.
Rejections (20%)
Auditing the molding inspection record & red tags of finished lots against the rejections recorded in PLEX.
Reviewing the molding rejection data for correlation to defects downstream in the process. Issue CARs as needed.
Reviewing QA rejections & approve dispositions.
Coordinating CAPACIs (corrective actions, preventive actions, continuous improvement actions) & rejections with suppliers.MER process (mold tooling change control) (10%)
Conducting image scanning & analysis of product before & after MER work.
Determining verification criteria & ensure follow through.
Document Control (10%)
Organizing document control files for improved accessibility.
Routing & tracking controlled documents for review & approval.
Creating process to manage scanned images.
Creating visual rejection standards & a system to retain rejections. Organize controlled storage & a controlled system for them.
General Quality (10%)
Follow-up & close out CAPACIs .
Participate in internal quality audits: IATF 16949, ISO 13481, ISO 9001
Performing root cause analysis & report writing.
