We seek a results-focused, innovative, customer-centric well-qualified individual to join our talented team as anEquipment Quality Manager. Based out of our Torrington Connecticut location, you will be expected to verify and validate product and production processes quality controls by leading the Equipment Quality team to certify that new products achieve all requirements for commercialization, by auditing suppliers, and by ensuring the repeatability, reproducibility, and sustainability of legacy product lines through product lifecycles.

You will:

* Manage production floor equipment, tools, resources, and capabilities by performing design verification, production validation, and quality control tests,
* Develop an innovative, customer-advocating, high-performing Equipment Quality team by exercising strong leadership and judgment skills
* Develop and implement processes, procedures and documentation standardsby leading design verification and product validation testing, and by quality controlling incoming material, in-process sub-assemblies, and end-of-line product certificates of conformance
* Establish quality control standards for function and performance design specs by overseeing, authoring, and publishing engineering reports that summarize data and analytics, user manuals and technical reports for marketing, and SOPs as used on the production floor
* Develop controlled processes to drive product improvements by implementing and scheduling Engineering Change Orders (ECO) for product improvements, design enhancements, cost reductions, and requests to substitute components

Requirements

You should have:

* BA/BS in Electrical Engineering
* 5+ years engineering experience in electromechanical, optoelectronics, or photonic design, development, testing, and/or quality assurance
* Proficiency in Quality Management Systems
* Proficiency in statistical test methods and Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) is a plus
* Excellent knowledge and experience working with ERPs; JD Edwards Enterprise-1 preferred
