We seek a results-focused, innovative, customer-centric well-qualified individual to join our talented team as a Quality Control Specialist, Americas. In this role, you will implement customer level Quality Control requirements by performing testing procedures for incoming materials and finished goods as required by product specifications and updating and maintaining statistical control data that identifies product outliers and nonconformances. You will:

Analyze raw and manufactured materials by sampling raw materials, preparing test panels, and performing cure tests and color comparisons on UV and LED curing equipment

* Execute inventory transactions and accurate test history data by updating Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and databases
* Segregate nonconforming materials from production inventory by updating ERP, applying labels, maintaining nonconformity logs and monitoring shelf life for materials as they approach expiration
* Follow standard test methodologies by following work instructions, product change requests (PCRs), staying up to date on SOPs and new products, and leading the resolution of errors or omissions found within the testing
* Identify all materials accurately by appropriately labeling physical containers and locations then updating Enterprise Resource Planner (ERP) entries

Maintain a secure, healthy, clean, ergonomically sensitive, productive laboratories by practicing safe handling procedures, using PPE as appropriate, following SDS, EH&S, and HazMat requirements, and by ensuring proper storage of materials, workspaces, and equipment


You should have:

* Bachelors Degree or equivalency in experience, with a strong preference for Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related field preferred
* Familiarity with FTIR, Colorimeter, rheometer, UV-Vis preferred
* Proven familiarity with ERP software essential
* Limited Travel, less than 5%
* Experience of Quality Management Systems, including auditing
* Ideally, 2+ years of experience in chemical laboratory
* High attention to detail, strong math and critical thinking skills, ability to distinguish minor color variations
* 2nd shift, typically working hours between 1pm and 11pm
