Education – Bachelor’s degree – High school diploma or GED Skills – Six Sigma Certification – Microsoft Outlook – Microsoft Excel – Communication skills – Computer skills – Life insurance – Relocation assistance – Health insurance – Vision insurance – Flexible spending account JOB PURPOSE: Develops, implements, and coordinates product and process quality assurance programs to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: – Perform root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process, product, and customer complaint related concerns. – With support from the Quality Director, establish, implement, and maintain the plant quality management system. – Develop training to build quality awareness. – Interface with Engineering, Purchasing, Suppliers, and Operations to ensure transfer to production of new products that are in accordance with the approved requirements. (PPAP’s, Control Plans, Cpk studies, etc.) – Develop and implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility. – Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints. – Responsible for continuous improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 6 sigma, Kaizen, Lean methods, etc. – Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system. – Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audit finding reports and determining proper corrective and preventive actions. – Create and maintain quality documentation; such as quality procedures, work instructions, and control plans. – Visit and confer with representatives of material and component suppliers to obtain information related to supply quality, capacity of supplier to meet orders, supplier quality standards, and ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions. – Manage supplier performance and conduct audits. – Prepare QA reports. NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: – Perform other duties as assigned.
