Job Posting Title Quality Engineer Job Description Summary Ensures that products being built and processes being used adhere to all standards and requirements.Monitors engineering processes and products for adherence to company and regulatory standards and practices. Participates in quality-improvement initiatives and projects.Performs quality reviews and internal audits; evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.Analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product.Recommends modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability. Job Description Performs Quality Audits Lead the implementation of Improvements to the Quality Systems Promote the Quality Systems Culture Train other associates on Quality Policy and Procedures Coordinate the Plant the Audit Calendar Supervise the Quality Metrology Lab Activities (Layout and Gages) Plan and coordinate Metrology Equipment and Gage calibrations Verify plant performance in Customer Portals Recommends quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes. Analyzes quality data from plant processes and customer indicators. Develops quality improvement experiments by applying full and fractional factorial techniques. Contributes to quality engineering and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results. All other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Education Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering degree preferred). 2+ years of experience in advanced quality. Thorough understanding of Quality Systems (IATF/TS 16949). Knowledge of process conformance audits. Formal training in FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA and SPC. Must possess good analytical and problem solving skills and statistical ability. Computer skills utilizing MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Good oral and written communication skills.
