Date Posted 2021-02-01-08:00 Country United States of America Location: HFL05: Landing Gear – Miami 3201 NW 167th Street , Opa Locka, FL, 33056 USA The Quality Inspector ensures that the quality of Collins Aerospace suppliers, products and process are compliant with internal and regulatory standards and are continuously improving. Performs all assigned tasks based on demonstrated, certified skills and abilities necessary to inspect Landing Gear components. Quality Inspectors will use predetermined methods, operation, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect arriving, in process and completed products for conformance to engineering requirements. This position works under supervision. Primary Responsibilities – Perform visual and dimensional inspection of major and minor components. – Perform inspection of landing gear assemblies – Perform final acceptance of overhaul documentation to ensure compliance with approved technical data (including return to service.) – Perform various visual and dimensional inspections of incoming manufactured or vendor provided materials and products for conformance to drawings and specification – Assign in-coming nonconforming parts to the appropriate location to ensure quality requirements are met – Perform in-process, final bench and product feature inspections – Files documents and maintain quality assurance record systems as required – Coordinate with Engineering/Survey and Repair to determine compliance and rework process to return component to airworthiness status – Reviews inspection and test plans, standards and acceptance criteria, and procedures/work instructions. – Raises notifications of non-conformance, quarantines non-conforming product and, when approved to do so, provides disposition. Basic Qualifications – HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. – 2 or more years of landing gear or aviation experience Preferred Qualifications – Must be able to use measuring tools, such as: micrometers, calipers, height gage, hydraulic gages, and test equipment. – Knowledge of measuring instruments used to check O.D. and I.D. dimensions – Strong analytical and communication skills (verbal & written) – Understand component maintenance manuals and all other applicable technical documents – Interpret and work from customer specification, purchase orders, certification, written and verbal instructions – Basic computer Skills – A & P Mechanic License Raytheon Technologies is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
