Job Description Summary Job Description 1.0 JOB SUMMARY 1. Tests/inspects molded components for acceptability and/or function. Completes Molding quality inspections. Provides material handling support to the molding area through transporting product and materials to and from the molding process, by using a powered lift truck. Interfaces with molding personnel in the handling of the departments materials and to detect and contain quality issues. The position will also work closely with the QA Shift Leads in documentation of quality events. 2.0 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 0. The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to: 1. Conducts sampling, product testing and visual inspection of molded components, identifying molding defects and non-conformances. 2. Must be familiar with and understand Molding inspection procedures and standards. Regularly monitor product for acceptable quality to the latest product specifications/procedures. 3. Completes accurate documentation of all inspection/testing data and maintains an easily retrievable filing system. 4. Familiar with raw, in-process or finished materials and their locations and is responsible for neat and proper storage. 5. Possess a working knowledge of all processes and the components required to operate processes within the molding area. 6. Must be able to operate a forklift safely. 7. Transports components from manufacturing to staging area and raw materials and finished goods to and from molding area as needed by production demands. 8. Conducts device history, procedural and product audits, as directed by Quality Management. 9. Monitors product and/or process trends at discretion of QA and Molding Management. 10. Assists with root cause analysis activities. 11. Reads and interprets sampling plans to determine sample size and/or accept/reject criteria. 12. Issues product holds and pallet identification tickets. 13. Observance of all safety and environmental procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices. 14. Conducts special sampling and product testing, as required. 15. Collects product/process data for FWO s, special projects, validations, etc., as required. 16. Completes other duties as assigned by QA and Molding Management. – OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES0. Other responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: 1. Complies with all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies/procedures. 2. Complies with all local BD quality policies/procedures/practices through consistent application of sound Quality Assurance principles. 3. Performs other job related duties as assigned. 4.
