Role and Responsibilities * Seeking highly motivated individual with strong communication skills, initiative, attention to detail, customer service and flexibility. * Raw Material Buyer is responsible for entire supply chain of semiconductor raw materials, from vendor selection/setup through price negotiation, purchase order creation, order tracking, days of stock management and vendor management. * Role requires ability to manage relationships externally (with vendor, 3PL, etc.) and internally (Logistics, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and other support groups, and Korean HQ counterparts) to ensure semiconductor Fab has continuous secure supply of material. * Work within a dynamic and demanding 24/7 manufacturing environment, sourcing the most advanced high purity raw materials. * Raw Material Buyer role includes a combination of the following: * PO creation. * Stock management for optimal days of inventory (shortage and scrap prevention). * Order tracking and follow-up. * Local price negotiation. * Identify and execute cost savings projects. * Contract negotiation and revision. * Forecast review and management with Engineering. * Vendor selection and setup. * Vendor management, including Corrective Action issuance/ and potentially site visits/audits. * Management of non-conforming material through RMA process. * Continuous improvement projects for systems and processes. * Reporting as needed. * Buyer has opportunity for certification and training, both in the field of SCM and within their specific commodity. * Work days and hours: 1st-Shift, M-F 8am to 5pm. Skills and Qualifications * 4 year degree, Business/Supply Chain is preferred. * CPM/CPSM/CPIM certification a plus. * Supply chain management experience is preferred. * Strong understanding of core supply chain functions, including, but not limited to: air/sea/land logistics; RFP/RFQ; MRP and PO management; supply/demand planning; and vendor selection and management. * MS Office proficiency. * SAP or similar ERP experience. * Presentation skills, both verbally and slide preparation. * Please visit Samsung membership to see Privacy Policy, which defaults according to your location.
