SI03 [ is currently looking for a Regulatory Specialist to ensure our organization is meeting all of the applicable regulations, such as those established by the Food and Drug Administration, for products and services and will do so by completing and filing paperwork with the appropriate local, state, and federal agencies.

The primary job responsibility of this position is evaluating current and new products for compliance with applicable regulations. Other job duties may include implementing internal organizational audits, handling the notarization of compliance reports, and creating and communicating organizational regulatory work processes. The individual in this role will need to stay abreast of new applicable laws and provide organizational management with updates on how the changes will affect the business.

Responsibilities

* Review current standards and policies
* Keep records of quality reports, statistical reviews and relevant documentation
* Ensure all legal standards are met
* Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines
* Create and maintain an electronic or hard copy filing system for organizational records
* Create and implement compliance strategies for newly developed products
* Work with several departments such as engineering, quality and marketing to ensure the creation and delivery of compliance-oriented customer services

Preferred/Bonus Qualifications or Experience

* Familiarity with USDA compliance, processes, procedures and documentation
* Background in chemistry or food science
* Experience in quality control for a food manufacturing company or facility
