Research Assistant – Cancer Center Protocol Office GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT: The Research Data Assistant works under general supervision to perform data collection for the Merkel Cell Carcinoma Patient Registry. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following job duties will be performed under supervision by the Principal Investigator and Program Manager: – Maintain the data in the Merkel Cell Carcinoma (MCC) REDCap Registry according to the data capture and management standard operating procedures (SOPs) set forth by the MCC Task Force – Complete electronic data forms based on review of surgical pathology, radiology, systemic treatment and clinical follow-up information – Contribute to quality assurance of collected data, routine audits, and further development and refinement of SOPs for collection, storage, extraction, and analysis of data – Update data for specific scientific projects, and assist with preparation and quality assurance of analytic datasets SKILLS AND ABILITIES: – Careful attention to detail – Good organizational skills – Ability to follow directions – Good verbal and written communication skills – Computer literacy – EDUCATION: – Bachelor’s degree required.
