The Sinclair LabThe Sinclair research group consists of approximately 20 postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, research assistants and undergraduate interns working to understand why we age and how to reverse it. Studies in the lab include the analysis of DNA repair, fertility, mitochondrial dysfunction, wound healing, cardiac failure, muscle loss, the interactions between epigenetic and genetic instability, and dementia, and whole body and tissue reprogramming. Techniques include mouse physiology and cognition, molecular biology, medicinal chemistry, high-throughput molecule screening, software design, and genomics. Research Assistant-1Under the direction of senior research staff, the research assistant will perform a variety of basic laboratory duties. These will include assisting with or setting up experiments according to established protocols. Maintaining laboratory notebooks that detail experimental procedures and results. Collecting, recording, organizing, processing and presenting data and experimental results. Works effectively within a culture inclusive of individuals with diverse backgrounds, styles, abilities, and motivations, and appreciates and leverages the capabilities, insights, and ideas of all individuals. RA may also perform other lab duties as required.
