Do you love working in a hardworking team of dedicated professionals? We are looking for a Research Associate to plan, organize and perform scientific research projects in Microbiology, Immunology, and/or Molecular Biology. You will develop theories for understanding, characterizing and organizing natural phenomena into a systematic and relevant pattern for research into potential new products or inventions. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Coordinate interdepartmental activities and research efforts. Participate in intellectual property evaluations and development of patent applications. Present ongoing work and findings to senior staff and external events and summarizes the nature and methodology of the research. Collaborate with industry or academic specialists to apply the results of research and develop new techniques. Create and conduct experiments and analyzes results and data. Other duties as assigned Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff. Relocation will not be provided for this position. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology or related field OR four or more years of equivalent experience. Experience working with Microsoft Office. Experience working a laboratory environment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS One or more years of full-time work experience. Experience working in Biosafety Level 2 laboratory environment. Knowledge of research techniques. Experience with aseptic laboratory techniques. Knowledge in statistics for laboratory. Equal Opportunity Employer, including Disability/Vet.
