SunIRef:Manu Job Summary Biomedical micro devices and nanotechnology lab seeks to hire a post-doctoral researcher with expertise in electrochemistry for biosensors, a strong understanding of biochemistry and materials chemistry with the ability to perform assay development. The successful candidate must be able to develop independent protocols for complex novel assays for multiple biomarkers. The successful candidate must have strong grounding in statistics. Minimum Education and Experience Ph.D in a related field. Preferred Education and Experience PhD in engineering or related fields Essential Duties and Responsibilities Independently develop and perform electrochemical bench assays Develop assay chemistry for biosensors Material characterization (SEM, TEM,XRD) Chemical characterization methods ( FTIR, DLS/Zeta, UV-vis, AFM, Raman) Write reports, journal articles and assist with writing grant proposals Mentor undergraduate and graduate students Data analytics for biosensors Physical Activities Working Conditions Additional Information This is a temporary 1-year position, renewable up to 2 years, pending funding availability and satisfactory performance.
