Job Details Estimated: $59,000 – $79,000 a year3 hours ago Qualifications – Transfection – Communication skills – Molecular biology – ELISA – Bachelor’s degree – Master’s degree Full Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced research associate who will work independently and be responsible for providing bench support for biologics lead optimization group at Hengenix. The successful candidate will be working in diverse areas of biologics lead optimization research with the ultimate goal of engineering novel protein-based therapeutics with optimal titer, stability and biological function. Experience and Qualifications: MS degree in life sciences, biochemistry, biophysics, or related fields with 2-6 years industry experience in antibody/protein-based therapeutics. Candidates with BS degree and significant industry experience will be also considered Good communication skills in verbal, written, and scientific data presentation. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting A good team player with flexible and positive working attitude. Requirements: Strong hands-on experience in protein expression construct design for mammalian systems and molecular biology/cloning/sequence manipulation Experience with protein expression using transient transfection (ExpiCHO/293) Hands-on experience in protein-protein interaction analysis using Biacore/Octet/ELISA etc. Working experience with small-scale protein purification using Protein A, affinity, SEC, IEX etc. using AKTA system and basic protein/antibody characterization using SDS-PAGE, HPLC etc. Prior experience in biophysical methods of biologics developability assessment, such as, DSC, DSF, light scatting (DLS/MALS) etc. would be considered as a significant plus.
