Full Job Description

Sarepta Therapeutics is seeking a motivated individual with a strong background in Cellular Biology and Biochemistry with in vivo experience to join our drug discovery team. This position will report to Sr. Scientist. Biology.

Basic Laboratory Duties :
Plan and conduct experiments under the direction of Scientists
Document all results in laboratory notebooks
Maintain and organize testing compounds, samples and lab supplies.

Specific responsibilities include:
Execute high-throughput screening assays to examine potency and toxicity of RNA-based therapeutics in cell culture and animal models
Provide synopsis of analyses with presentation and written reports
Ability and desire to work in a team-based laboratory environment
Interfacing with internal and external collaborators to manage sample transfer and processing.

Education and Skills Requirements:
MS or BS 2+ years experience in relevant discipline required (Biochemistry, Cellular/Molecular Biology, Neuroscience)
Expetise in various cell and biochemistry techniques including, but not limited to:
Protein isolation and performing western blot, ELISA and reporter assays
Nucleic acid isolation for gene expression analysis, such as RT-PCR, qPCR or ddPCR
Cryosection and immunohistochemistry
Experience in primary and transformed mammalian cells culture is preferred
Experience in drug formulation, rodents handling, dosing and tissue harvesting is desired
Excellent organization skills and ability to support others in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Experience with GraphPad Prism or similar statistical software preferred
Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving
Must be detail-oriented and present strong desire to learn and have a ‘can-do’ attitude
