Over the past decade, the Olivier lab, with collaborators all over the U.S., has been developing a technology called Hybridization Capture of Chromatin-Associated Proteins for Proteomics (HyCCAPP) to investigate how proteins interact with DNA in the nucleus, and how genetic sequence variation in the DNA impacts protein binding. For this NIH-supported project, we are recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Center for Precision Medicine to assist in the development of the technology and the analysis of HyCCAPP data. If you have expertise in molecular genetics, are interested in gene expression regulation and in technology development in general, this may be an opportunity for you! The fellow would actively participate in a wide range of ongoing research projects studying the molecular basis of human cardiometabolic diseases and aging, using both human and animal studies. The ideal candidate would be highly motivated, learn quickly, and have a good degree of independence.
