The primary responsibility of the department is to design, generate, validate, and archive biological reagents for discovery activities across all of the lab’s therapeutic modalities. Under the instruction of the supervisor, the scientist will help with cell scale up, characterization, construct design, virus prep and QC. Key Responsibilities: – The primary responsibility of the department is to design, generate, validate, and archive biological reagents for discovery activities across all of the lab’s therapeutic modalities. – Under the instruction of the supervisor, the scientist will help with cell scale up, characterization, construct design, virus prep and QC. – Work in a matrix team environment to enable optimal delivery of project – Generate, characterize, and optimize biological reagents (cells, viruses) as needed by sponsored program teams – Use molecular biology tools to design constructs and analyze genomic data – Analyze and summarize any experimental or quality control data using a variety of laboratory instrumentation and computer software – Registration of biological samples and preparation of samples for shipping – Routine laboratory maintenance – Compliance with all R & D data integrity practices, ethics codes, standards and training, and safety training and practice Basic Qualifications: – A BS in a life sciences discipline (e.g. cellular/molecular biology, biotechnology). – Experience in Sterile insect, mammalian, and/or bacterial cell culture . – Good knowledge about DNA recombinant technologies Preferred Qualifications: – Qualified candidates should have strong practical knowledge of cell biology with practical knowledge one or more of the following: – Generation of batches of adherent or suspension cell lines (small and/or large scale) – Experience with genome editing and mol bio software (e.g. Benchling, SnapGene) – Generation of baculovirus, bacmam virus, or lentivirus – Computer software exposure (e.g., Excel) for experimental and quality control analysis – Laboratory notebook maintenance Job Type: Full-time Pay: Up to $65,000.00 per year Benefits: – 401(k) – Dental insurance – Health insurance Schedule: – 8 hour shift – Monday to Friday Experience: – Cell Biology / Cell Culture: 1 year (Required) – Genome Editing (Preferred)): 1 year (Preferred) – Total Industry: 1 year (Required) Application Question: – Your primary email for communication: Work Remotely: – No Show full job description Quick
