Peraton is seeking a SAS Programmer/ Data Analyst to join our team in in Hyattsville, MD. You will be be part of a small, cohesive team of dedicated analysts that are making an impact in todays health-careresearch. This role supports the CDC in preparing data from the National Health and Nutritional Examination Survey (NHANES) for public release. NHANES data and findings are used in epidemiological studies and health sciences research, which help develop sound public health policy, direct and design health programs and services, and expand the health knowledge for the nation. NHANES is a major program of the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS). NCHS is part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and has the responsibility for producing vital and health statistics for the Nation. Apply today for immediate consideration! Responsibilities: – Program, edit, and analyze National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) data, at the CDC National Center for Health Statistics. – Perform SAS programming on NHANES data for public release on the Internet. – Perform survey weight review and analysis using SAS and SUDAAN to get descriptive statistical tables, figures, listings (TFL). – Prepare corresponding documents, e.g. lab manuals, codebooks, and html documentation. – Other programing jobs as required. Required Qualifications: – BS in Statistics, Computer Science, IT, or related field. – 2+ years SAS programming and SAS Macros experience. – 2+ years data processing experience. – Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder – Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance Desired Qualifications: – Master in Statistics, Computer Science, IT or related field. – SAS Advanced Certification. – Other statistical software experience, such as SUDAAN, STATA, or R. – HTML or other web design programming skills. – Statistical knowledge of survey data processing and analysis, statistical programming and quality control of both quantitative and qualitative data via appropriate application of statistical theory. – Experience with laboratory procedure, quality control practices and information management system.
