Description :
Possesses the ability to undertake and resolve difficult and highly complex projects through research, analysis, and the application of judgment developed from previous experience. Addresses problems that are difficult to define, require unconventional or novel approaches, and require sophisticated analytical techniques. Remains abreast of industry changes or changes in a particular field and introduces best practices into current efforts when applicable. Performs routine work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks. Provides professional engineering support with increasing independent accomplishment. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: performs specific and limited engineering tasks of a broader assignment, under the direction of an experienced engineer; prepares computations, specifications, and reports of limited scope and complexity; applies standard practices and techniques in specific situations; and, may be assisted by a few support personnel.

This position is contingent upon a pending Government contract award and funding availability.

Requirements

Must possess a Bachelors Degree in specialization or related scientific discipline and five years applicable experience. Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalizes Information (TS/SCI) security clearance is required.

Five (5) years of experience gained within the past 10 years (2010 to present) in evaluation sciences in any of the following:

a. Analytical techniques such as predictive analytics and risk analytics; natural language processing, machine learning, and artificial intelligence; data requirements analysis, data modeling, data cleaning, and database structures; data mining and visualization; conceptual modeling; and statistical analysis techniques;

b. Demonstrated experience in use and application of one or more of the following programming languages common in data science: Python, R, Java, SQL, and/or No-SQL); and

c. Demonstrated experience in use and application of one or more of the following math packages common in data science: MATLAB, JMP, and/or SAS.
