Description :
SIMULATEs mission is to develop nutrition technology that advances natures codebase. SIMULATEs first product, NUGGS, is a chicken nugget simulation made from plant inputs. Since NUGGS launched in the Summer of 2019, NUGGS has evolved into the fastest growing chicken nugget on the planet. SIMULATE is currently developing new nutrition technologies, some that will launch later in the year.

As a Scientist at SIMULATE, you will:

* Investigate how formulation and downstream processing affects protein microbiological, textural, and eating quality during shelf-life
* Develop, characterize and optimize formulation and processing conditions to enhance product quality

* Clearly explain trends in your development process to be understood in layman’s and subject matter expert’s terms

* Work collaboratively with other Product Team members to incorporate flavor, color, and other mission-critical aspects of product success

* Scale up formulations from bench top to commercialization

Requirements

* You have a Masters or higher in Food Science, Chemistry, Material Science or related field
* You have an extensive and proven background in extrusion processing technologies
* You have commercialized extruded food products
* You have experience in working with sensory and instrumental analysis techniques (Rheometer, Texture Analyzer, etc.)
* You have experience at a startup
