Description :
The Translational Science team is seeking a highly motivated Scientist I with strong scientific acumen to lead data analysis projects for customers of NanoString’s nCounter platform and lead collaboration projects using the nCounter and GeoMx platforms for translational and discovery studies. This person will work closely with customers and collaborators to design, execute, analyze and interpret results for data analysis projects from start to finish. This applicant will also assist customers and collaborators with presentations, publications and generation of marketing collateral. This position will require 20% onsite and eventually 80% remote. Essential Duties: – Serve as scientific lead for paid data analysis projects, including customer communication, study design, data interpretation and reporting – Design, execute, and analyze collaboration projects – Perform data analysis with the NanoString nSolver software and GeoMx digital spatial data analysis packages, and custom analysis software – Assist customers and collaborators with the preparation of posters, slide decks, manuscripts and/or other marketing collateral to share results of collaborations/applications development – Maintain excellent records, participate in weekly lab meetings, communicate with customers by email, phone, and in person, work closely with a team of analysts and scientists to achieve goals – Collaborate with biologists, data analysts, program managers, as well as the commercial and marketing teams. – Entails 20% bench work and 80% collaboration with customers/team members. Requirements: – Ph.D. in immunology, oncology, molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, genetics, or related field – Familiarity with interpreting NanoString and/or gene expression analysis – Familiarity and experience with molecular biology, IHC/IF, cell culture of primary cells and cell lines, and/or tissue handling – Ability to work both independently and as member of a project team – Excellent verbal/ written communication and presentation skills Desired: – Familiarity with a statistical analysis packages. – Experience in the life science industry and/or post-doctoral work in a relevant field.
