Description :
The Systems Validation team is responsible for the validation of production powertrain control modules, including validation of hardware, software, and calibrations to meet federally regulated guidelines for software performance (OBD), safety requirements, manufacturability, and vehicle functionality. The Propulsion System Validation Engineer provides leadership in the areas of formulation and implementation of testing strategies. Engineers on the team are tasked with validation of powertrain controls using both vehicles as well as Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation environment. The Propulsion System Validation Engineer will be responsible for developing master DVPs for Systems Validation, creating and managing DVP & R’s, test procedures (including maintaining traceability of test artifacts to requirements), and initial root cause analysis activities. Additional duties will include ensuring HIL test properties / test scripts are appropriate and designed for the application, performing the tests & entering test results while clearly documenting issues in corporate systems. The Propulsion System Validation Engineer must have significant experience and technical skills in propulsion sub systems, and validation. Basic Qualifications: – A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials /Chemical/ Civil/ Aerospace/Computer/Computer Science or equivalent) from an ABET accredited university – 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering or related fields – Capable of interpreting Logical as well as Physical Schematics – Experience with communication networks (i.e. CAN, LIN, FlexRay, etc.) – Experience analyzing requirements and specification Preferred Qualifications: – Master of Science in Applied Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or related Engineering field from an ABET accredited university – Hybrid or EV development powertrain experience/ exposure or training – Working experience with Chrysler tools (iSpeed, CDA) – Experience in using INCA and Matlab – Experience using CANalyzer or CANoe – Knowledgeable in MATLAB/Simulink – Knowledgeable in Automation desk/SYNECT – Knowledge in IBM ALM Tools (RQM, DNG, IMS) Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled.
