Description :

Drawbridge Health is looking to hire a Senior Scientist to be the principle investigator for the development of new IVD assays and adapting other suppliers assays for use with dried blood and dried serum samples. The successful candidate will participate in product ideation and development strategy, coordinate and work with collaborators and partners, and interface with regulatory bodies.


* Design and conduct complex laboratory and research experiments
* Interface with research partners and coordinate projects with outside laboratories, including transfer of key technologies
* Document, organize and interpret data, present results
* Compile, analyze, and submit data and results within a Quality Management System framework
* Responsible for accurate and reproducible performance of assays/procedures, documentation of results, and detailed evaluation of data
* Design research plans including the specific experiments to complete multiple segments of plan
* Independently develop new procedures/models and perform non-routine and advanced procedures/studies
* Provide a recognized company-wide technical or analytical resource with regards to methods and approaches
* Author scientific presentations/ publications
* May coordinate and prioritize workload for Research Associates and/or Scientists
* Communicate/presentat results within team, interdepartmentally, to management, and to external collaborators, as necessary



* PhD in Molecular Biology, Chemistry, or related field, with 4+ years of industry experience, or Masters degree with 8+ years of industry experience, or Bachelors degree and 12+ years industry experience
* Innovative mindset with strong decision-making and troubleshooting skills
* Experience leading and executing hands-on bench-work, conducting research and development as part of a team
* Experience with general chemistry assays and/or immunoassays
* Development of assays such as ELISAs, HPLC, fluorescence and absorbance cuvette and microplate assays, capillary electrophoresis, qPCR, DNA/RNA extraction assays, and clinical chemistry tests
* Experience working inside Quality Management Systems and Product Development Processes
* Knowledge of FDA, GLP, and/or CLIA regulations
* Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions in a laboratory environment
* Demonstrated ability to independently understand and apply complex technical concepts to testing methodology
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organizational and self-management skills


* Familiarity with mass spectrometry
* Supervisory experience
* Development and support of at least one FDA registered product currently on the market
