The individual will work in the laboratory to independently design, execute, and interpret complex in vitro studies to support drug discovery across multiple therapeutic areas. Successful candidates should demonstrate broad scientific knowledge and technical expertise in pharmacology, a strong track record supporting drug discovery research, and the ability to leverage lab automation to improve efficiency and drive innovation. He or she should have excellent analytical and communication skills and can work effectively in a highly collaborative cross-functional team environment. Key responsibilities: Provide biochemical and cellular pharmacology expertise to support drug discovery across multiple therapeutic areas (cardiometabolic, immunology, and oncology) Develop and implement potency, selectivity, and mechanistic assays to characterize diverse targets, molecules, and mechanism of actions, using sophisticated experimental methods Leverage extensive lab automation to improve quality, efficiency, and overall productivity Drive scientific and technical innovations to enhance functional capability and productivity Represent Quantitative Biosciences department in multi-disciplinary project teams to provide robust scientific and technical support Collaborate extensively across the our research laboratories network and with external partners to drive project progression toward milestones Qualifications: Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology or a related scientific discipline, with a minimum of3 years of drug discovery experience in a biotech/pharmaceutical setting Relevant knowledge of mechanistic pharmacology and bioassay development, and strong expertise in SAR support for drug discovery Highly skilled in the design and execution of high-throughput biochemical and cell assays, using a wide range of modern technologies and detection methods Broad knowledge and hands-on experience with automated liquid handling instruments (Multidrop, Bravo, Echo, etc.) and integrated robotic systems for assay operation Proven record of success in leveraging biochemical and cell assays for compound screening, pharmacological characterization, and lead optimization Good working knowledge of cardiometabolic biology, immunology or oncology is a plus Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment to advance drug discovery, with excellent organization and communication skills We are a research-driven biopharmaceutical company.
