We are looking for an outstanding Senior Security Researcher to join the Prisma Compute research team. You will join a team of industry-leading cloud security researchers. You will work closely with our development teams to improve the Prisma Cloud Compute platform. Your broad experience in vulnerability and exploit mitigation will be relied upon. You shall innovate new features and techniques in which the platform will prevent real world attacks on cloud, container and serverless workloads. You will hunt, reverse and research malware targeting workloads we protect. You will determine our platform’s coverage and come up with ideas for improvement of our capabilities. You shall be on the lookout for any vulnerability in container platforms including Docker, Kubernetes and their counterparts, cloud service providers such as Google Cloud, AWS and Azure, and any service we are protecting from OS level to native applications. You will have an opportunity to publish cutting edge research on the renowned Unit 42 blog, as well as present new findings at well-known cybersecurity conferences around the world. Overall, we are looking for someone with a passion for hacking and a proven record in vulnerability discovery, analysis and exploitation. As the research front of the Prisma Cloud Compute group we have many responsibilities, including discovering zero-day vulnerabilities, the analysis of one-day vulnerabilities and the enrichment of Prisma and Palo Alto Networks products. Your Impact Determine Prisma Cloud Compute detection coverage and protection from vulnerabilities and malwares Innovate new features and protection mechanisms to enrich Prisma Cloud Compute Hunt and analyze malware attacking cloud and container workloads Analyze a broad range of one-day vulnerabilities in cloud and container services Support our product and development teams with practical knowledge on mitigating exploitation and post-exploitation malicious activity Support our efforts to secure Prisma Cloud Compute and actively engage in evaluating our product security Publish research blogs on Unit 42 Present your research at well-known cybersecurity conferences Your Experience Highly motivated about cloud and container security Able to understand and uncover vulnerabilities Understand various types of vulnerabilities e.g. memory issues, logical issues, web Experienced in reverse engineering and malware analysis Familiar with Go language and security of Go code preferred Familiar with cloud service providers and security of cloud service providers such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Azure preferred Able to explain complex problems in a way that is easy to understand, great communication skills Strong attention to detail Excellent English reading comprehension and writing skills Prefer Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related degree The Team Our engineering team is at the core of our products – connected directly to the mission of preventing cyberattacks.
