We’re looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our Pleasanton, California team The Opportunity: This position is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and execution of test automation for our in-house designed and build applications, as well as defining the overall test automation strategy. Strong communication skills are essential. The position will be working closely with a cross-functional team with the objective of rapidly bringing new features to the market without sacrificing our high level of quality. In this role you’ll: Design, develop, and maintain automation test infrastructure/framework to produce maintainable, stable test coverage to support the development of microservices, mobile, and web applications Design, execute and report results of automated test cases for functional and end-to-end integration testing Participate in Agile working practices such as daily scrum meetings, sprint planning meetings, reviews, and retrospectives Work with development, design, and product team to prevent software defects by attending requirements reviews and architectural/design reviews Utilize innovative testing technologies to develop a product test strategy, including developing new test tools if nothing relevant is already available Mentor other RBA staff in the use of the resulting test automation and interpretation of results Collaborate with other Senior QA automation engineers and management to define mid to long-term testing software and architecture strategy Serve as an escalation point for technical problems, and coordinate developers or stakeholders (business owners) to find and implement solutions Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results Constantly identify problems or opportunities, and champion solutions within the scope of own work Take on a large project, break down into several manageable tasks, design test plan and test cases Work with the project team, estimate testing tasks, and come up with incremental testing plans to fit into the larger project roll-out schedule Actively support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety: to send everyone home, every day, the way they came to work, by taking personal responsibility for your safety and safety of your team, co-workers. and customers. Here’s what you bring: Undergraduate degree in computer science or equivalent. MS degree preferred 7+ years of experience in QA Automation Development You have developed automated tests utilizing frameworks such as TestNG, Selenium, Cucumber, etc., the experience of building the framework itself is a plus You are proficient in Java programming language, have experience testing Web frontend, Web services, and APIs You must be a self-starter, quick learner, attentive to details, and capable of multi-tasking You must be a solid individual contributor with strong team skills who leads or carries out medium to large projects independently Stay current on business issues, industry trends, and technological advances.This job will require you to: Work occasional overtime on release days.
