About this role: The Sr. Software Quality Engineer provides mentorship and expertise in technologies and processes for Information Technology (I.T.) Quality Assurance (QA). S/he maintains an awareness of emerging technologies to ensure a competitive advantage. This position automates test scenarios and expected outcomes. S/he provides expertise for UPS key business functions and supporting technologies. This position applies a comprehensive knowledge of technical skills, principles, practices, and procedures of testing methodologies and working knowledge in planning, designing, and conducting QA reviews and inspections. S/he conducts comprehensive testing and risk-based assessments of the testing objects. This position uses source documentation as input and contributes to the planning and implementation of testing activities. The selected candidate leads testing components of large and complex projects, assigns tasks, provides direction to resources, and reports progress to project stakeholders. S/he creates and selects tools and methodologies for review and approval by management. The Sr. Software Quality Engineer will work with the SGS Brokerage Build team to ensure that the solutions being development meet the functional and non-functional requirements. In this role, the candidate must prepare test cases, execute test scripts, and will work with the SGS Brokerage Build team to ensure that the solutions being development meet the functional and non-functional requirements. Minimum Qualifications: + 3-5 years of experience in test automation using Selenium, UFT, SoapUI, etc + Identify, validate, track and communicate defects and risks to the development team(s) + Work closely with team members to evangelize an emphasis on quality throughout the entire SDLC + Have experience with working with XML, JSON, and CSV data structures + Professional SQL Experience (writing and debugging SQL statements and stored procedures) + Understand complex business requirements to create and execute test plans and test cases (Integration Function, Performance, Load, Regression) + Experience working with testing RESTful web services and backend APIs + Ability to write simple scripts using python or scala + Multitasking, Problem solving, Decision Making, Communication + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and work experience _This position offers an exceptional opportunity to work for a Fortune 50 industry leader.
