DraftKings Inc. (Nasdaq: DKNG) is a digital sports entertainment and gaming company. It’s simple, at DraftKings, we believe life’s more fun with skin in the game. For that reason, we’re committed to responsibly creating the world’s favorite games and betting experiences. Headquartered in Boston, MA, with offices around the globe, we believe we can continue to define what it means to be a technology company in sports entertainment. We love what we do, and think you will too. Love data? We do too. We’re scaling rapidly and are searching for an experienced researcher capable of blending methodologies with data-driven insights to build compelling business cases to support our Platform team. You will focus on the core user journeys of all of our experiences and the internal tools that help our teams power them. This involves supporting the continued evolution of our deposit and withdrawal flows, identifying areas to improve our sign up and registration flows, and supporting the development of our marketing capabilities that power the products in the DraftKings family. You will use a mix of qualitative and quantitative research techniques to understand our customers across our different products and champion them by being their voice within the company. You will work with teams across the organization to share insights and enable the DraftKings product team to create engaging customer experiences. What you’ll do as a User Researcher: Champion research and user-centered design for our organization’s New Ventures vertical. Drive insights to inform the definition and development of products across the platform. Work cross-functionally with teams to shape and execute research plans based on business needs and growth/innovation initiatives. Inspire curiosity around research for every member of our organization to ensure we make our business and product decisions on user insights. Be a trusted collaborator, partner, and knowledge leader for stakeholders across the organization. Interpret research results, implications, market analysis, and gather strategic intelligence to provide insights regarding market trends and our customers’ needs and difficulties. Work Promptly with product teams to ensure we are supporting their deadlines and not slowing down production, development, or launch. Direct priorities and approaches for research projects to ensure the most effective and efficient use of resources. Partner with internal teams like Customer Support and Fraud to help improve their internal tooling and processes to support our users. What skills you will use: Ideally have 3-5 years of experience as a hands-on researcher for digital products. Expertise in a broad range of methodologies including ethnographic research, site visits, interviews, surveys, lean experimentation, and more. Experience partnering with analytics teams to create meaningful insights and recommendations. Ability to analyze and report qualitative and quantitative information in a way that engages other team members. Experience partnering with designers, customer support agents, and fraud teams. Bachelor’s degree in psychology, human factors, HCI, or an equivalent field is required. #LI-WG1 Who are we a good fit for? We love working with talented people but more than that, we seek out compassionate co-workers with a collaborative spirit. Our work moves quickly and we’re great at coming together to find creative solutions to some of tech’s most interesting problems. If that sounds good to you, join us.
