SunIRef:cr001 The Life Science and Healthcare Relationship Management roles are responsible for acquiring, orchestrating, and growing entire client and ecosystem relationships; deepening relationships within the C-Suite; consulting on, and cross-selling, the entire SVB platform (i.e. Treasury management to Debt financing to the Private Bank, etc.) to address client business and personal needs; orchestrating cross-functional SVB teams to optimize the client experience; and building real relationships to differentiate SVB with all key influencers in the market. Core responsibilities include new business development and expansion of existing relationships, as well as, originating, advising on, and negotiating financing solutions for SVB Commercial Bank clients. Manage assigned client relationships. Provides support to MD and Director’s client relationships. Help ensure those clients receive a world class relationship management experience. Independently contacts clients and prospects. Engages in client meetings. Leads team interaction with operations and product groups internally. Demonstrates a thorough command of SVB’s products and offerings. Engages in the negotiation of financing solutions for SVB clients. Responsible for relationship management of commercial bank clients and delivery of core commercial banking products (i.e. debt financing, treasury management, FX, investments, etc) and broader SVB financial services (i.e. private bank, wealth advisory, SVB Analytics, etc). Manage a portfolio of their own independent client relationships. Support MDs and Directors on delivery of the overall client experience. Works with internal groups to meet deadlines and communicates effectively with the client as part of that process. Responsible for new business development, expansion of existing relationships with a variety of levels of influencers within the client. Focuses on SVB’s Success Drivers and Corporate Goals thru collaboration with appropriate business units and thru smart risk taking. Qualifications Highly effective person with people and relationships, both externally and internally. Understanding of SVB’s platform of products and services. Identifies, positions, and closes cross sell opportunities within existing client relationships. Begins to develop a network in the life sciences and healthcare community. Builds a strong understanding of the business trends impacting the life science and healthcare market. Interacts with all levels of clients independently. 5+ years of related experience. Experience and network in the life science and healthcare ecosystem a plus. Strong relationship management, negotiation, and marketing skills. Good closing skills. Strong focus and ownership on the overall client experience. Knowledge of bank operations and products a plus. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
