Title Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry Tenure Track or Non Tenure Track Non Tenure Track Faculty Rank Assistant Professor Open Date 01/19/2021 Close Date 05/01/2021 Open Until Filled Yes Full or Part Time Full Time Position Summary The Department of Chemistry at Trinity College invites applications for a full-time visiting assistant professor to join our vibrant and diverse faculty and students in the fall term of 2021. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Chemistry and possess the ability to teach introductory and organic chemistry lecture and laboratory courses. The initial appointment for this position is two years, with the possibility for renewal; the holder of this position is eligible to seek College and department funds for faculty development. The successful candidate will be part of a team that collaborates in teaching the lecture and laboratory courses in introductory and organic chemistry. We use a guided-inquiry approach where the contribution of each student’s laboratory data plays a central role in how all students learn. Trinity is a liberal arts college located in Connecticut’s capital city of Hartford.
