Position Description: As a member of the Health Care Team, under the direction of the Attending physician, provides technical assistance by scrubbing and or monitoring a variety of Cardiac/ Vascular and Neuro diagnostic and interventional procedures. Participates in maintenance of lab equipment, materials, supplies, and ordering processes Qualifications: Required Education/Experience/Licensing: – Satisfactory completion of formal radiological technology training in an AMA-approved school. – Must be licensed in the State of Ohio. – AART registered. – Minimum of 2 years experience in special procedures and cardiovascular procedures required. – Assume on-call responsibilities. – Must hold current CPR certification. Physical requirements: – Required Education/Experience/Licensing: 1) Satisfactory completion of formal radiological technology training in an AMA-approved school. 2) Must be licensed in the State of Ohio 3) AART registered. 4) Minimum of 2 years experience in special procedures and cardiovascular procedures required. 5) Assume on-call responsibilities. 6) Must hold current CPR certification. 7) Physical requirements: a) visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected to 20/20 including color vision when applicable; b) ability to hear (with or without aides) c) ability to orally communicate d) good manual dexterity e) ability to push, pull, roll, and transfer/lift 50 pounds occasionally f) ability to stand, walk frequently g) ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel frequently; and h) ability to perform CPR (if a required for position). (Definitions: Never 0%, Occasional 0-33%, Frequent 34-66%, Constant 67-100%) Communication and other skills: Exhibits accuracy, integrity and flexibility; is punctual and dependable. Possesses organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Demonstrates ability to work with self-direction and effectiveness under minimal supervision. Working Conditions: Working conditions include but are not limited to an environment of high stress where exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other infectious agents, unpleasant odors, limited space, dust and fumes, variations in environmental temperature, hazardous chemicals, loud noise, radiation risk, laser exposure, physically demanding workloads, heavy lifting of at least 30 pounds but often more. Many repetitive activities and motions such as bending, standing and walking for extended periods of time are required. Some risk of verbal, physical and emotional aggression may be experienced.
