Medical Science Liaison Manager

We are recruiting for a Medical Science Liaison Manager (or senior level depending on experience) to join our globally leading Biotechnology client.
The successful candidate is expected to develop and maintain new relationships in a therapy area (post-natal depression) where our client does not have a pre-existing footprint. Demonstrable KME engagement skills are equally as critical as scientific credibility and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a variety of clinical audiences.
This is a contract position, offered initially for 12 months working 37.5 hours per week covering the Northern territory. (Inside IR35).
Responsibilities:
Maintain a territory and/or KME engagement plan aligned to the strategic medical/integrated customer plan
develop a network of relationships with key HCPs, implemented to standards set by local and above country metrics.
Ensure aligned medical scientific communication to external stakeholders at peer-to-peer level via 1:1 interactions and group presentations, including developing or localizing effective, compliant communication materials including medical education, and maintaining/fulfilling an active SERF list, dissemination of company data reactively and proactively, using a variety of media: digital channels, HCP engagement (1:1 and group).
Deliver 'expert speaker' presentation modules in a commercial setting in collaboration with colleagues.
Coordinate collaborative research /Investigator initiated research, including MRRC submission and review, contracting, progress monitoring, payments, review of scientific publications and presentations, and study close-out.
Provide medical input into strategic brand, portfolio and KME engagement planning; develop and execute medical tactical plans, including delivering a territory or product KME engagement plan.
Initiate, implement and monitor scientific projects aligned with the medical strategy and in cross functional cooperation, in respect of compliance and local environment requirements. Experience and skills:
Scientific degree.
Previous experience as an MSL combined with relevant therapy area experience (mental health, women's health, neuroscience – therapy area for the role is post-natal depression)
Proven ability to learn quickly and independently, act autonomously, accountability, excellent presentation and communication skills.
Self-motivated team player with a strong track record in developing and maintaining KME relationships, developing and delivering medical education programmes, project management and delivery.
Experience in pre-and peri-launch of complex products in relevant therapy areas and experience in patient pathways with primary, secondary and tertiary care setting inputs is desirable.
