What You’ll Do

Act as a deputy Named Veterinary Surgeon under the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act.
*
Deliver expert clinical care and case management, including anaesthesia, surgery, and ophthalmology.
*
Provide advice and guidance on animal welfare, contributing to internal ethical review processes.
*
Engage with multidisciplinary teams, regulatory bodies, and clients to ensure compliance and excellence in veterinary care.
*
Support and potentially lead specialist research, with opportunities to publish and present work.
What We’re Looking For
*
Eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
*
Strong clinical foundation in medicine and surgery, with interest in developing skills across a variety of species.
*
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
*
Prior experience in laboratory animal medicine is an advantage, but full training will be provided.
*
Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota (non-onerous).
