Our client, a leading Medical Devices Manufacturing Company is looking for Lab Technician and This is for an initial duration of 06 Months Contract – Pensacola, FL
 
Job Title: Lab Technician

Position Type: Hourly Contract Position (W2 only)
 
Location: 100% onsite at Pensacola, FL 

  • Monday- Friday, 9a-5p
  • Able to work at least 30 hours per week, but may work 40+ hours per week

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the R&D group leader and scientists, the R&D Temporary is responsible for performing the following duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision: 

  • Calculate and prepare laboratory formulations and chemical solutions.
  • Perform laboratory screening of new membrane formulations
  • Perform screening of new membrane formulations working with manufacturing equipment and personnel during R&D pilot runs.
  • Assist in preparation, set-up, and execution of R&D and manufacturing scale experimental runs.
  • Collect, analyze, interpret, and report data and experimental findings.
  • Fabricate and/or modify experimental apparatus or manufacturing equipment.
  • Assist in the development of new testing methods or procedures.
  • Perform routine and specialized QC of developmental membranes.
  • Provide general laboratory and administrative support including, but not limited to, inventory maintenance, safety audits, and maintenance and upkeep of the laboratory and warehouse.
  • Perform other general support duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
The successful candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: 

  • Must have an AA or higher completed degree/diploma in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Biology or a related field or 2-3 years of laboratory experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Able to work at least 30 hours per week, but may work 40+ hours per week
  • Critical thinking and good problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented, diligent, careful in observation and work.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The desire and ability to thrive in an interdisciplinary, fast-paced team environment. Being adaptable and open to change.
  • Effective time management skills and able to manage multiple tasks, while maintaining proper attention to detail.
  • Strictly adhering to safety policies and guidelines.
