Job Summary: Our client is looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual to join the Quality Team to ensures that incoming materials meet specifications and that our finished products satisfy both customer and internal expectations. We are committed to continuous improvement.
- This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.
- Shift Hours: 4:00 a.m. 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, with the ability to work overtime and Saturdays as needed.
Key Requirements:
- Strong communication, active listening, interpersonal, and writing skills
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, including complex problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office especially Excel (with the ability to create or learn to create clean data tables, pivot tables, and charts to support analysis and decision making) and PowerPoint
- A good understanding of Syteline, or the ability to quickly learn it
- Detail-oriented and customer-focused
- Flexibility to juggle multiple projects
- Commitment to following 6S practices daily
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent reaching, lifting, twisting, and use of finger dexterity, grasping, and repetitive motions
- Ability to perform tasks that involve talking, hearing, and visual acuity
- Office work involving computer use
- Ability to alternate between sitting and standing positions
Working Environment:
- A varied mix of production, warehouse, and office settings
- Frequent interaction with employees and vendors
- Experience handling red tags
- Experience checking in incoming parts
Key Responsibilities: This is an entry-level Quality Team position with room to grow. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Inspect incoming products to ensure conformance to specifications and drawings
- Contain inventory of items across the plant when issues are identified
- Analyze defects and determine the disposition of non-conforming items
- Document and report product quality levels
- Communicate with team members to solve problems
- Respond to production line calls regarding quality concerns or needs
- Follow up with the appropriate channels when concerns are identified
