Duration: 6+ months (Possibilities of Extension)

Work Schedule: Shift: 1st – 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Pay Rate: $25.00/hr on W2
 
Job Description Summary:
As an Associate Food Technologist for our Taste, Texture & Health division, you will support our Sweet Goods Business Unit objectives. The role will focus on creating solutions for our customers through the breadth and value of the Client-Client portfolio of flavors and ingredients.
 
Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in food science or related field is preferred

 
Skills:

  • Skills related to formulating and evaluating food and beverage products.
  • Strong organizational, Problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Able to manage priorities and workflow, Versatility, flexibility,
  • And a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities

 
Allergy sensitivity:
This role will require you to taste and work with dairy products.
 
Responsibilities:
• Actively manage strategic projects for dairy and alternative dairy applications
• Product development and pilot plant processing of various foods and beverages
• Organize and manage internal evaluations of flavor technologies
• Collecting, analyzing, and reporting data from flavor evaluations
• Support active customer briefs for a range of clients
 
Requirements:
• A background in food science or other related fields. 1-3 years of experience is preferred
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
• Excellent communication skills
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
• Experience with working in a pilot plant or food processing environment
• Skills related to formulating and evaluating food and beverage products.
