The Quality Assurance Inspectors functionally report to the Projects Quality Assurance Supervisor for job assignment and provide assurance support, performing specific quality assurance audit activities to assure the project facilities are designed, procured, fabricated, constructed and documented in accordance with approved project specifications, design documents, IFC drawings, applicable Codes/Regulations, site requirements and acceptable work practices.

Instrument QA Specifics :

  • Shall meet with the Instrument Contractor to establish any inspection hold points prior to commencing work.
  • Shall establish lines and means of communication with the Contractor to report and resolve conflicts that may arise during the construction phase of the job.
  • Shall maintain an open communication with the Control Systems Engineer (CSE), Instrumentation Contractor, inspectors, operation representative(s) and the QA Supervisor to discuss and resolve inspection queries. The Instrument Inspector shall communicate freely with the Control Systems Engineer (CSE) on inspection requirements and sell-off procedures.
  • S h all perform ongoing inspection of instrumentation installation through the construction phase and turnover of systems. Will participate in the loop sell off of designated loops. Required loops to be witnessed shall be established by the CSE before loop sell off begins.
  • Shall keep daily notes of inspections performed and document and communicate progress, issues and Client's to the QA supervisor and QA team as necessary.
  • Shall maintain a log of projects, progress, and status of QA deliverables.
  • Shall review the Contractors' loop folders and sell off sheet on a regular basis with the Contractor and be familiar with the schedule for loop-sell inspections.
  • Shall monitor the placement of instrument mounting stands and instruments for conformance to plant standards and accessibility. He will ascertain that the mounted height is in conformance with the datasheet requirements and that the installation will work as designed.
  • Shall audit the calibration of instruments and the records for conformance to DEP requirements.
  • Shall monitor the receipt of instrumentation material at the warehouse for conformance to storage and handling requirements.
  • Shall sign off on instrument loop packages upon 100% completion and check out of the loop.
  • Shall audit the pressure testing of process connected impulse tubing. Validation of test pressures will be performed prior to testing. Test requirements are to be reviewed by both the Instrument Inspector and Contractor prior to testing.


I would prefer to have instrument inspectors familiar with:

  • Project Instrumentation Inspection.
  • Triconex IPF system
  • Yokogawa/Emerson Delta V DCS
  • Yokogawa Pro-safe System
  • Rosemount field instrumentation
  • Ohmart Vega guided wave radar gauges
  • Fisher control valves with DVC positioners
  • Bently Nevada vibration monitoring


Electrical QA Specifics :

  • Provide quality assurance of construction activities to ensure construction deliverables comply with project specifications, design documents, applicable Codes and regulations, and acceptable work practices.
  • Provide quality assurance for project equipment installation. Hold accountability for quality work of contractors.
  • Verify content and accuracy of as-built drawing files, electrical data bases, and related equipment files.
  • Verify material and equipment received meet purchase order and specification requirements.
  • Witness all function test on complex electrical circuits and shutdown systems, witness field installation procedures and final tests on all electrical equipment, and coordinate and/or conduct equipment "buy-off " at the point of mechanical completion.
  • Participate in QC kickoff meeting with contractors and subcontractors to discuss job requirements and QC responsibilities.
  • Review the appropriate request for information and non-conformance reports generated by the construction contractors for adherence to project specifications. Answer the questions that arise as to the interpretation of the specifications. Seek help from the Lead Electrical Inspector or Electrical Engineer, when required.
  • Sign off on test and acceptance forms, as required.
  • Ensure critical documents are developed and updated, including drawings (i.e., P&IDs, EFDs, etc.), equipment folders, loop folders, and spare parts lists.

I would prefer to have electrical inspectors familiar with:

Construction electrical inspection related experience in a manufacturing facility.

Deep working knowledge of relevant Codes and standards, including National Electric Code, NFPA 70 National Electrical Code, 70B Recommended Practice for Electrical Equipment Maintenance, 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace and OSHA.

Additional Information:

  • Available to work weekends, extended schedules, and nights when needed.
  • TWIC card required

  • High School or GED

  • September 18, 2025, to October 30, 2025

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $67-$70 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.

Must have a valid driver's license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
