Join Our Team as a 3GPP Researcher in Mountain View, CA!

Are you a Ph.D. holder in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with a passion for shaping the future of connected mobility? We're looking for a talented 3GPP Researcher to join our R&D InfoTech Labs team in Mountain View, California.

This isn't just a research role; it's an opportunity to directly influence the standards and technologies that will power the next generation of automotive communication. You'll be at the forefront of innovation, contributing to 3GPP standardization and leading groundbreaking research projects.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive 3GPP Standardization: Actively contribute to 3GPP RAN1, RAN2, and/or RAN working groups, authoring contributions, and attending crucial standardization meetings.

  • Innovate Connected Mobility: Propose and lead research projects focused on advanced communication technologies for vehicles, collaborating with both internal and external partners.

  • Shape the Future: Create invention disclosures and contribute to academic publications, sharing your expertise and pushing the boundaries of wireless communication.

  • Expand Your Impact: Contribute to other relevant standardization bodies (e.g., SAE, ETSI, IEEE 802) and diverse research projects within our labs.

What We're Looking For:

  • A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.

  • Proven experience in wireless communications research and development, ideally within vehicular environments.

  • Strong knowledge of wireless communication at Layer 1 and Layer 2.

  • A solid understanding of 4G LTE and 5G NR standards and the 3GPP standardization process.

  • Demonstrated experience attending 3GPP meetings as a delegate and writing 3GPP contributions, with a preference for RAN1 WG involvement.

  • Exceptional time management, prioritization, and communication skills, both written and oral, for international audiences.

  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, highly motivated team.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for 3GPP meetings.

If you're ready to make a significant impact on the future of automotive technology and thrive in a cutting-edge research environment, we encourage you to apply!
